Field Trip Information

BIOL 201 Cell and Molecular Biology
The students visited a biotech company which works on techniques related to cell and molecular biology. Not only were they able to visit a large genomics organization, but they also were able to discuss the BGI College that biology students can apply to, think critically about obtaining future bioogy degrees, and visualized what a future career in the biology field could be like. Students saw demonstrations of real lab equipment usage and techniques, sequencing, COVID-19 testing equipment, and testing techniques for unique diseases.
