Kunshan City Ecological Forest Park is a fantastic location for tired urbanites to embrace nature and breathe fresh air. Tourists can feel comfortable and relaxed in this grandiose walkable park not too far from the city.

PUBPOL 209 The Politics of Environmental Crises: The focus of the course is on crisis management, which includes crisis preparedness. The Ecological Forest Park in Kunshan has areas that serve as Emergency Shelters. There are signs and infrastructure for this across the park. As part of the course, students were able to experience a guided tour to learn about this emergency preparedness infrastructure in the park itself. Students learned about the reasons for this emergency preparedness infrastructure, how it is being maintained and funded, and how the Kunshan government prepares for the possibility of an emergency (for example through preparedness exercises or campaigns to raise public awareness).
