M50 上海莫干山路50号艺术区

50 Moganshan Lu, better known as M50, is Shanghai’s most famous “gallery district”. Home to over 50 gallery spaces in Shanghai, M50 displays the works of a cross-section of emerging Shanghainese and Chinese artists working in a wide range of styles and mediums. Great for a day’s stroll, Moganshan Lu also offers retail spaces and cafés for visitors.

MEDIART 490 Senior Seminar: This senior seminar trip took inspiration from a puzzling question frequently asked in the field: what do the arts and humanities do after all? As a core component of the interdisciplinary major in Media and Arts, this seminar leads students to explore this question through terms such as cosmopolitics and cosmopolitanism, which are central to the contemporary debates in the arts. This visit to a real-world exhibition on the topic was essential for students’ learning and understanding of cosmopolitan art and ideas.
